The Mel Blount Youth Leadership Initiative (MBYLI) is recruiting interns for the following positions:

SOCIAL MEDIA/DIGITAL MEDIA COORDINATOR
This position provides the opportunity to Plan, create, and publish content of all types directly on the MBYLI platforms while evaluating how the organization can enhance content and evolve distribution across various social media platforms. Intern will participate in live real time coverage of and support MBYLI events and tentpole events.

MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR
This position provides the opportunity to assist with all aspects of marketing and communications within the organization such as creating and sending press releases, creating marketing pieces, articles, and engaging media. Intern will be assisting with public relations collateral, producing presentation materials, managing website content, and developing media output.

SPONSORSHIP AND FUNDRAISING COORDINATOR
This position provides the opportunity to assist in researching funding opportunities, engaging new partnerships and sponsorships by identifying target sponsors and audiences. You will manage relationships with partners and sponsors. Intern will also work on business development strategies to increase sponsorship opportunities and assist in construction off 5-year strategic planning and funding.

Candidates majoring in business administration, marketing, and/or sponsorship, sport administration/sport management or sales.

EVENT PLANNING AND COMMUNITY PROGRAMMING COORDINATOR
This position assists with the planning of events, including the annual Mel Blount Celebrity Roast, featuring several past and present NFL players, held at Heinz Field. You will be responsible for assisting in planning, handling logistics, coordinating schedules, serving as the day of point person, and seeing the events across the goaline. If you are a talented, self-driven and high-energy individual looking to serve as a game changer -MBYLI is the place for you.

You will also help with the development of youth outreach programs and events that represent the mission and values of the organization. Such as Lebron James Family Foundation/Dick’s Sporting Leadership Day, Building Champions, Steelers Rookie Camp, Youth Summit, University of Pitt Football Youth Camp,
