MBYLI Success Stories
Jasmyn Chloe McMillan
Jasmyn is an individual with multiple exceptionalities (i.e., Autism, rare genetic disorder, intellectual, speech & physical impairments), who has a deep and profound love for horses all because of Mel Blount! At the age of four Mel placed Jasmyn bare back on a horse and with him by her side, she rode fearlessly. Fourteen years later, Jasmyn rode a horse for a second time and with Mel by her side, she rode fearlessly! This June marks Jasmyn’s 3rd year of working with horses, learning how to ride fearlessly on her own and competing in the Long Island Horse Show Series for Riders with Disabilities (LIHSSRD). “My family will be forever be grateful to Mel Blount for tapping into Jasmyn’s potential and empowering her to live a meaningful and purpose driven life.”
